About Switchboard:

Switchboard is the information and support service for the lesbian, gay, bi and transgender community in the Netherlands. We provide a listening ear, comforting words, information on coming out, sexual identity, gender identity, LGBT cultural, social and sport clubs and events and service providers as lawyers, doctors, therapists.
Our service by phone, e-mail or chat is free, unbiased and strictly confidential.

Call us during our opening hours as listed on this page. Our telephone number will not be listed on your telephone bill. Normal telephone rates and costs for cell phone use apply.

Opening hours:

Our regular opening hours for telephone calls and chats:

  • Monday: 10:00 – 12:00 hrs
  • Tuesday: 15:30 – 17:00 hrs* and 19:00 – 20:00 hrs
  • Wednesday: 13:00 -19:00  hrs
  • Thursday: 13:00 – 17:00 hrs
  • Friday: 13:00 – 17:00 hrs
  • Saturday: 14:00 – 17:00 hrs

* Only Chat.

We have faced a shortage of volunteers, which creates gaps in our schedule. As a result, our opening hours have been temporarily adjusted. On Friday afternoons 17 and 31 March 2023, we cannot be reached by telephone or chat. On Friday afternoon 24 March 2023, only via chat from 15:00 hrs.
